San José, CA – July 30, 2015 --- Everyone is familiar with the local garage stories of Wozniak & Jobs, Hewlett & Packard, and other tech pioneers who helped give Silicon Valley its name, but the Valley’s history of technological innovation and revolutionary invention stretches back much further. This new exhibit, opening Sunday September 6, 2015 from 11:00am – 4:30pm in the Arbuckle Gallery in the Pacific Hotel at History Park, explores the remarkable history of the inventors and engineers who revolutionized communications technology. Visitors will see rare artifacts from History San Jose’s Perham Collection of Early Electronics, including surveillance equipment, radios, televisions, and electronic components, and learn about the remarkable men and women who set the foundation for the Valley’s technological revolution.

That same day, History Park will host the 1st Annual San Jose Mini Maker Faire from 10:00am-6:00pm on Sunday, September 6, 2015.
